Quick Mix Spritz
Cookies, Bars, and Candies
This dough is much easier to work with when pressing butter cookies.
Ingredients
- Flour2 1/4 Cups
- Sugar3/4 Cup
- Salt1/2 Teaspoon
- Baking Powder1/4 Teaspoon
- Butter1 Cup
- Egg1
- Vanilla1 Teaspoon
Instructions
1. Sift flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder together in a bowl.
2. With a pastry blender cut butter into dry ingredients until mixture is full of very fine lumps. It will resemble pie crust or bisquit mix, although not as coarse.
3. Measure the egg in a measuring cup. A large egg will measure 1/4 cup. If it doesn't - add water to the 1/4 cup line.
4. Add the egg and vanilla and beat the mixture very well.
5. Form cookies on ungreased sheets with cookie press and bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees.
