Ginger Snaps

Cookies, Bars, and Candies

Ingredients

  • Soft Margarine (Or Butter)3/4 Cup
  • Sugar1 Cup
  • Egg (Slightly Beaten)1
  • Molasses1/4 Cup
  • Flour2 Cups
  • Baking Soda2 Teaspoons
  • Salt1/2 Teaspoon
  • Ginger (Powdered)1 Teaspoon

Instructions

1. Cream margarine (or butter). Add sugar and continue creaming. Add beaten egg and molasses. Beat well.

2. Sift flour, baking soda, ginger, and salt together. Add to above mixture. Mix well.

3. Shape into balls and roll in sugar. Place 3 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet.

4. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.
