Spaghetti Pie

Ingredients
- Spaghetti (uncooked)6 Oz
- Hot Water4 Cups
- Oil1 Teaspoon
- Salt1/2 Teaspoon
- Margarine2 Tablespoons
- Eggs, beaten2
- Parmesan Cheese1/3 Cup
- Ground Beef1 lb.
- Onion, Chopped1
- Green Pepper, Chopped1/3 Cup
- Tomatoes, Chopped1 Cup
- Tomato Paste1 Can (6 Oz.)
- Flour1 Tablespoon
- Garlic, Minced1 Clove
- Sugar1 Teaspoon
- Oregano1 Teaspoon
- Salt1/2 Teaspoon
- Cottage Cheese1 Cup
- Mozzarella, Shredded1 Cup
Instructions
Crust: Break spaghetti in half and place in 2 qt. microproof casserole with hot water, oil, and salt. Microwave, uncovered, on high power, 14 minutes, or until tender. Drain; rinse with hot water and mix with margarine, eggs, and cheese. Lightly grease a 10 inch microproof pie plate. Form spaghetti mixture into crust. Cover with vented plastic wrap - microwave on med. power (50%) 5 to 6 minutes until crust is just set, turning dish halfway through.
Filling: Brown meat with onion and green pepper. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, flour, garlic, sugar, oregano, and salt.
Spread cottage cheese over bottom of cooked crust. Add meat mixture. Microwave covered - med. power (50%) until heated. Sprinkle with cheese. Let stand 5 minutes.
