Fiesta Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • Onion (Chopped)1
  • Flour2 Tablespoons
  • Tomato Sauce1 Can (8 oz.)
  • Picante Sauce1/2 Cup
  • Ground Cumin1 Teaspoon
  • Salt1/2 Teaspoon
  • Oregano (Crushed)1/2 Teaspoon
  • Pork Chops (Well Trimmed, Cut 1/2 to 3/4 inches thick)6
  • Radishes (Diced or Sliced - Optional)---
  • Avocado (Optional)---

Instructions

Toss onion in flour. Add tomato and picante sauces, cumin, salt, and oregano.

Place meat in a single layer in a shallow dish. Pour sauce over meat. Cover, refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.

Transfer meat and sauce to a large skillet. Cover, simmer until meat is tender, 25 to 35 minutes.

Remove meat from skillet; arrange on a serving platter. Skim fat from skillet; cook and stir sauce about 1 minute to thicken, if necessary. Pour sauce over meat. Garnish serving platter with radishes and/or avocado and serve with additional picante sauce.
