Hot Bacon Dressing
Salad Dressings
Wonderful served over fresh, baby spinach.

Ingredients
- Bacon (Diced)10 Slices
- Onion (Medium, Diced)1
- Water3 Cups
- Sugar1 1/2 Cups
- White Vinegar1 Cup
- Chicken Bouillon Cubes2
- Cornstarch (Mixed with 1/2 Cup Cold Water)1/2 Cup
Instructions
Brown bacon and strain off grease, leaving small amount to brown onion. Add onion and brown. Add 3 cups water, sugar, vinegar, and bouillon. Bring to boil. Gradually stir in combined cornstarch/water mixture.
Reduce heat to simmer and cook 15 minutes or until thickened. Serve over bed of fresh spinach.
Serves: 6 to 10
Note: This dressing can also be used as a base for German potato salad. Mix dressing along with diced green onions and sliced boiled potatoes.
